Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join South Devon Vets on a part-time basis, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients and supporting client experiences.

You’ll work across surgical, medical and nurse clinic duties, providing outstanding inpatient care while collaborating with veterinarians and the wider team. The role includes a 24-hour week pattern and Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • A minimum of 2+ years RVN experience.
  • Experience in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at South Devon Vets on a part-time basis.

We have three practices within our group, all based in the Newton Abbot area of South Devon. We're ideally located between the spectacular Tors of Dartmoor and the beautiful South Devon coastline, with some fantastic beaches just a short drive away.

South Devon Vets - Kingsteignton (formerly known as Kingsteignton Veterinary Practice)

South Devon Veterinary Hospital and Referrals is located on the edge of the picturesque village of Abbotskerswell, within the old village cider works.

Practice Highlights
  • Modern facilities with in-house lab, CT, ultrasound and digital X-ray
  • Advanced diagnostics including endoscopy and dental X-ray
  • Specialist services including Diplomate-led Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics.
  • Advanced procedures including CT and laparoscopic spays.
How You'll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You'll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern
  • 24 hours per week
  • 3 or 4 days per week with shifts between 8:00am-6:30pm
  • 1 in 8 Saturday's 8:00am-12:00pm
