Job summary

South Wales Vets in Abertillery, part of IVC Evidensia Group, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll deliver high-quality nursing care and client education, work 40 hours across 4 days, with one in four Saturdays and no out-of-hours obligations.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Ideally at least one year of post-qualification experience.
• Experience working in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
• Good organisational skills and workload management.
• Proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nurse-led consultations and provide client education.
• Provide high-quality nursing care, monitor patients, administer medications and support recovery.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anaesthesia and perioperative/post-operative care.
