Job summary

Highgate Vets in Kendal, United Kingdom, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract. You will join a supportive practice with in-house Idexx labs, ultrasound, and imaging, rotating between two clinics and a 4‑day week schedule.

The role focuses on nursing care, patient welfare, client communication, and ongoing professional development within a collaborative team. 40 hours/week, 1 in 6 Saturdays, no OOH.

Qualifications

• RVN registration with the RCVS is required.
• Experience in clinical veterinary practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Nurse clinics and general inpatient care.
• Theatre nursing and assistance with procedures.
• Support diagnostics including labs and imaging.
