Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care is actively seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Holmefield Vets on a part-time, 10 month contract. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care within a supportive practice, collaborating closely with vets and the nursing team.

You will work across theatre, inpatient care and general nursing duties, contributing to clinical standards and client experiences while maintaining a proactive approach to professional development.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Holmefield Vets on a part-time 10 month contract.

Holmefield Veterinary Clinic is a friendly, long-established 100% small animal practice with an experienced and loyal team. Recent achievements within our nursing team, including completion of the Vets Now Emergency and Critical Care Certificate, reflect our commitment to learning, development, and clinical excellence.

Our main site is located in the beautiful village of Brayton, with a smaller branch practice in Sherburn-in-Elmet. We are based in a semi-rural area of North Yorkshire, offering a fantastic lifestyle balance with excellent transport links. Selby provides regular direct trains to London, Manchester, and Leeds, and we are just a 20-minute drive from York.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern
  • 30 hours per week
  • Shifts scheduled as follows: Tuesday 8:30am-2:00pm, Wednesday 8:30am-7:00pm, Thursday 8:30am-6:00pm, and Friday 8:30am-2:00pm
  • No weekend rota
  • No OOH responsibility
