Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated RVN looking for your next exciting opportunity? Our small animal practice in Shelfield is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to become a valued member of our welcoming and supportive team.

About Us:
At Shelfield we take pride in delivering a high standard of veterinary care with a strong emphasis on patient well-being. Our team is comprised of skilled professionals who are dedicated to maintaining a high standard of care. We are a cat-friendly and dog-friendly practice, with separate dog and cat waiting areas.

By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential. We have a varied case load including dermatology, orthopaedics, and feline medicine. Utilize our state-of-the-art in-house lab, AI microscope system for cytology work, in-house blood machine, and blood gas analysis. You will also have the opportunity to perform schedule 3 work, assist with diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound and radiography.

You will be joining an existing team of 3 vets, with a dedicated reception team, RVNs, and student nurses.

About the Role:
To apply for this role you will be a qualified RVN who is confident with consults. You will have good
general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare. We strongly encourage CPD with our current nurses studying ISFM feline diplomas.

This is a Full Time role working 40 hours per week, 8 hour days. This will include both early and late shifts as well as 1 in 3 Saturdays (4 hour shifts).
