A leading veterinary referral center is seeking a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) for their inpatient wards team. This full-time role involves delivering outstanding nursing care across various referral cases, emphasizing clinical skills and teamwork in a supportive environment.
Blaise Veterinary Referral Centre is a large-scale, multi-disciplinary, specialist-led hospital built around IVC Evidensia's core values. As part of our expanding referral network, Blaise offers a truly collaborative and forward-thinking workplace. Alongside our specialist teams, the hospital is also home to the Vets Now emergency service, providing 24/7 support for our own inpatients and those of local first opinion practices.
Join a Skilled and Supportive Clinical Team
We're excited to welcome a passionate RVN to our inpatient wards team. You'll be part of a close-knit group of four RVNs and a Clinical Team Leader, working together to deliver outstanding nursing care across a range of referral cases. This role focuses heavily on inpatient management, with responsibilities including medication administration, drain and catheter care, nutritional support, and close monitoring of complex patients.
As a Wards RVN, you'll be expected to rotate across key nursing tasks and responsibilities where possible. This includes working alongside a rotation nurse and supporting anaesthesia when needed. You'll also liaise with veterinary surgeons and the wider clinical team to ensure high standards of care and patient safety. There will be occasions where you'll work independently or as the sole nurse on shift, so confidence in your clinical ability is key.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an RVN who is confident working both independently and as part of a clinical team. You should bring strong inpatient nursing experience, ideally with exposure to referral patients, and a proactive, flexible approach to your work. Experience in anaesthesia is beneficial but not essential. If you're motivated by high-quality patient care and ready to work in a supportive and professional environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, based on a 4-on, 4-off rota including weekends and bank holidays. Your shifts will rotate between:
