Job description

Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to join a friendly and dynamic team on a fixed-term contract? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at Southend-on-Sea!

This role is ideal if you’ve had some time out and want to re-enter nursing, or if you’re currently a locum seeking stability for the remainder of this year. Perhaps you simply want to work in a great practice with a fantastic team and see where it takes you!

You will join a hardworking, inclusive team passionate about serving the local community. Our practice has a dedicated non-clinical team to support the client journey, allowing nurses to focus on their clinical roles.

Located on Southchurch Road in Southend-on-Sea, our standalone practice treats a wide range of clients, including exotic animals, and is equipped with advanced facilities such as keyhole surgery, orthopaedics, ultrasounds, and nurse clinics.

We are seeking an RVN with excellent communication skills, confidence in all areas of general nursing, and a commitment to high standards of patient and client care. Strong organizational skills and pride in your work are essential.

This position is fixed-term, starting in September 2025 for 9 months to cover maternity leave, with the possibility of extension. The working pattern is Tuesday to Friday (8:30 am - 7:00 pm) and one Saturday morning every five weeks. No Sundays, Mondays, or OOH duties.
