Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our small animal practice, Selby Vets for Pets, for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team.

We are located on a busy retail park inside a Pets at Home store. Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and purpose-built to industry-leading standards, with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. We have an existing team of 4 Vets, 4 Nurses, 1 VCA, 3 Client Care Advisors, and a Practice Manager.

Based on the outskirts of Selby town centre, we offer free parking for colleagues and have great access to bus and train stations, providing easy connections to Leeds, York, and the East Coast.

Joining us allows you to utilize your nursing skills fully, including admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovery, discharge, and a range of nursing clinics.

Candidates should have good general nursing experience, excellent customer service skills, and be cheerful, down-to-earth, enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in animal welfare.

This is a permanent contract working 40 hours per week, with a set shift pattern within opening hours of 09:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 - 16:00 on Saturdays.
