Inspiring Vet Care in Aberdeen seeks a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse for a 20-hour/week role. You’ll join a clinician-led team at Ardene House Vet, supporting first-opinion care across small animals and contributing to high standards of nursing and client service.

The hospital features advanced imaging and surgical facilities and offers ongoing clinical development within a supportive practice network. A strong team culture and patient-focused care are central to the role.

Formación

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.

Responsabilidades

• Assist vets with surgical and non-surgical procedures.
• Provide high standards of inpatient nursing care.
• Support patient workups including imaging (x-ray, ultrasound, CT where available).
• Monitor anaesthesia and provide level of perioperative care.
• Support dental procedures and anesthetic monitoring.
• Run nurse clinics and contribute to clinical standards.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Ardene House Vetson a part-timebasis.

Our purpose-built hospital, based in the beautiful outskirts of Kingswells, Aberdeen, provides small animal, equine, and farm animal veterinary services. We also have a branch in Bridge of Don, offering convenient companion animal care to the local community.

Our team includes certificate holders in surgery and medicine, and we host visiting specialists in cardiology, dermatology, and pain management. We’ve recently welcomed Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals, offering advanced orthopaedic and internal medicine services within our facility.

Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including:

• Separate canine, feline, isolation, and critical care wards
• CT scanner, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and modern theatre suites
• A strong focus on patient comfort and safety

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 20 hours per week
• Working Monday and Tuesday, with shifts between 7:30am-7:30pm
• 1 in 5 Saturday shifts
• No OOH or on-call

General Responsibilities

• Assisting vets with both surgical and non-surgical procedures
• Providing high standards of inpatient care
• Supporting patient workups including x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and CT scans
• Anaesthetic monitoring and support
• Dental work, including scale and polish and dental x-rays
• Assisting with laparoscopic and orthopaedic procedures
• Running nurse clinics
