Job summary

Wards Veterinary Centre in Elgin, Moray is recruiting a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a full-time role. You will join a team delivering high-quality nursing care to patients, working with vets and the practice team on first opinion cases.

The clinic offers modern facilities, X-ray, ultrasound, dental X-ray and in-house lab equipment. It is a Gold Standard ISFM Cat Friendly practice with no OOH requirements and a rota covering 8am–7pm, including some Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Nursing inpatients and assisting with surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Conducting nurse consultations.
• Support for Schedule 3 procedures when applicable.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Wards Veterinary Centre on a full-time basis.

Wards Vets is an RCVS-accredited small animal practice situated in Elgin, Moray, surrounded by stunning beaches, mountains, and picturesque dog-walking areas. As a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice for many years, we are proud to offer high-quality care to a wide range of companion animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and other small furries.

Our clinic is equipped with modern facilities, such as X-ray, ultrasound, dental X-ray, and in-house lab equipment, ensuring we can provide the best care possible. Additionally, we are a Gold Standard ISFM Cat Friendly practice, prioritising feline-friendly services.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• With shifts between 8am-7pm on a rota basis
• Saturday mornings on a rota basis
• No OOH requirement

General Responsibilities
