Job summary

Wellpets in Cwmbran, part of Inspiring Vet Care, seeks a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a full-time role in our supportive, clinical team. You will provide high-quality nursing care, work with surgeons and nurses, and contribute to excellent client experiences in a busy small-animal practice.

We offer a structured development path, a collaborative culture, and a pattern that supports continuous learning. This role is based at Wellpets in Cwmbran with no out-of-hours work required.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS is required.
• A minimum of 1+ years post-qualification experience is preferred.
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and consultations.
• Provide inpatient care and monitor patients.
• Monitor anaesthetics during procedures.
• Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
• Carry out nurse consultations.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Wellpets in Cwmbran on a full-time basis.

Wellpets Veterinary Practice is a dedicated, RCVS Accredited small animal practice located in Fairwater, Cwmbran. We take great pride in delivering exceptional care to both our patients and their owners, ensuring that every visit is met with compassion and professionalism.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week but we are open to part-time hours
• 4 days per week with varying shifts 8:00 - 19:00
• 1:4 Saturdays 8:30 - 13:00
• No out-of-hours or bank holiday requirement
