Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join South Wales Vets in Abertillery on a full-time basis. You will deliver nurse-led consultations and high-quality nursing care for a range of cases, while supporting client experiences within a three-branch practice across South Wales.

The role includes a 40-hour week with 4 days 8:30am-7:00pm and no out-of-hours requirements. It also offers career development through Nurse Graduate Programme and Nurse Academy pathways.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice and nursing care is desirable.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at South Wales Vets on a full-time basis.

South Wales Vets is a three-branch small animal practice located across South Wales at Abertillery, Blackwood and Newport. This role is based at our Abertillery site.

Our Practice is within a short drive of the Brecon Beacons, perfect for outdoor activities, hiking and exploring the beautiful countryside. We are also around 30 minutes from Cardiff.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

This is a 12-month fixed-term position.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week
• 4 days working 8:30am -7:00pm
• 1:4 Saturdays 9:00am - 2:00pm
• No out-of-hours requirement

You Might Be a Great Fit If…

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
• Ideally 1 year + post qualification experience
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
