Job summary

CVS Veterinary Group is seeking two Registered Veterinary Nurses for Carrick Veterinary Centre, covering Chesterfield, Barlborough and Mansfield. We offer permanent contracts for 38.5 hours a week or 32 hours with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota, with flexibility on days.

You will deliver high-quality patient care, run wards, monitor recovery, conduct nurse clinics, supervise anaesthesia, and support student nurses.

Qualifications

• Some experience as a qualified veterinary nurse.
• Confident in all areas of nursing, including anaesthetics.
• Demonstrates commitment to high standards of patient care and team collaboration.

Life at Carrick Veterinary Centre

We are looking for two Registered Veterinary Nurses to join our team. We have two contracts available for 38.5 hours a week and 32 hours a week, both with a share in the 1 in 4 Saturday rota - we can be flexible on days. This role will also be based across all three of our practices in Chesterfield, Barlborough, and Mansfield.

Carrick Veterinary Centre are a well-established, multi-site practice across Chesterfield, Barlborough, and Mansfield, with all three branches within 20 minutes of each other and offering great access to the M1. Situated close to local amenities, including the popular Dobbies Garden Centre at Barlborough, the practice provides a varied and rewarding caseload supported by advanced surgical and diagnostic capabilities, including laparoscopic surgery, dental radiography, and orthopaedic procedures performed by a certificate holder in surgery.

Home to a skilled team of eight vets, seven nurses, PCAs and dedicated support staff, Carrick Vets is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and holds ISFM Gold and Silver Cat Friendly accreditations across its sites, alongside Dogs Trust Dog Friendly status at Hollywell. About you

Our ideal candidate will have some experience as a qualified veterinary nurse and be confident in all areas of nursing, including anaesthetics.
