Job summary

Park View Veterinary Hospital in North Hykeham is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a busy small animal practice. You will work with a team of vets and RVNs to deliver high-quality nursing care, run clinics, and support surgeries in a well-equipped hospital.

The role offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) with a stable shift pattern, opportunities for professional development, and a collaborative working environment focused on excellent patient and client care.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS is required.
• Experience in clinical practice and nursing within a veterinary setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Run nurse clinics and provide compassionate inpatient care.

Park View Veterinary Hospital - North Hykeham, East Midlands

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Park View Vet Hospital on a full-timebasis.

Park View Veterinary Hospital is an accredited Small Animal Veterinary Hospital and boasts a team of 5 experienced vets, including specialists with medical and surgical certificates, supported by 8 dedicated RVNs and 7 receptionists who provide fantastic support.

Our hospital is exceptionally well equipped, with dedicated dog, cat, and exotic wards, two theatres, and an on-site laboratory. We also have a digital X-ray suite with a Bucky table and grid, a dedicated dental theatre with dental radiography, and a MyLab ultrasound machine with both abdominal and cardiac probes. Additional facilities include laparoscopic equipment, an endoscope and bronchoscope, as well as a wide range of orthopaedic equipment, electrocautery, and cryotherapy, allowing us to provide a high standard of care across a varied caseload.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Working either 4 or 5 days per week
• Two Saturday mornings in 6 with the following Friday off
• No OOH requirements

General Responsibilities

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at our practice, your key responsibilities will include running nurse clinics, providing compassionate inpatient care, assisting with surgical procedures, monitoring anaesthesia, performing diagnostic imaging, and supporting the vets with medical and surgical cases. You’ll also be involved in lab work, client communication and education, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the practice.
