South Wales Vets in Abertillery is seeking a friendly Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll deliver high-quality nursing care and provide excellent client experiences while collaborating with veterinary surgeons.

You’ll work 40 hours across four days, with no out-of-hours shifts. We offer a supportive practice, CPD opportunities, career progression, and generous annual leave as part of a values-driven team.

Formación

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Ideally, at least one year of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in clinical practice with confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good organisational skills and workload management.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at South Wales Vets on a full-time, permanent basis.

South Wales Vets is a three-branch small animal practice with sites in Abertillery, Blackwood and Newport. This role is based at our Abertillery practice, where you’ll be part of a supportive team delivering high-quality first opinion care to our patients and clients.

Our practice is within a short drive of the Brecon Beacons, offering plenty of opportunities for walking, exploring and enjoying the countryside, while Cardiff is around 30 minutes away.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week
• 4 days per week, working 8:30am-7:00pm
• 1 in 4 Saturdays, working 9:00am-2:00pm
• No out-of-hours requirement
