Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Strathspey Vets in Aviemore. You will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients, support client experiences, and work with the veterinary surgeons and wider team across first opinion cases.

You will participate in inpatient care, theatre nursing, nurse consultations, and lab work, while contributing to clinical standards and ongoing patient care development within the practice.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week
• Worked over 4 or 5 days per week
• 1 in 4 OOH rota
• We are also open to part-time applications

General Responsibilities

As an RVN at Strathspey Vets, you’ll be involved in all aspects of nursing within a varied and rewarding practice setting. The role will include inpatient care, theatre nursing, nurse consultations, laboratory work, client communication and supporting the wider clinical team.

You’ll have the opportunity to use your nursing skills fully, contribute ideas, and be part of a team that genuinely values the role of veterinary nurses in delivering excellent patient and client care.
