Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Children's Nurse to join our Paediatric Ambulatory Care team, working across Outpatients and the Day Unit at UHCW and Rugby St Cross. You will provide high-quality care to children and their families, participate in ongoing training, and uphold infection control standards within our forward-thinking Trust.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as Children's Nurse.
• Completion of preceptorship programme.
• Recent acute paediatric clinical experience.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
• Study at degree/diploma level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care for children in Outpatients, Medical Day Unit, and Surgical Day Unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with children and families.
• Demonstrate clinical skills including observations, procedures, and equipment handling.
• Utilise information systems to ensure accurate data.
• Support and mentor junior staff and learners.
• Maintain infection control and Trust standards.
• Participate in service improvement, audits, and training.
• Uphold Trust values in all aspects of work.
