Job summary

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse - Traveler for a 14-week assignment. The role features nights, a $65 per hour rate, and requires 2+ years of recent RN bedside experience in Medical Telemetry or IMCU Stepdown.

The RN will deliver competent care, perform the nursing process, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while meeting licensure and EPIC documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in Medical Telemetry or IMCU Stepdown.
• Valid RN license to practice (state-specific where applicable).
• Experience with EPIC documentation system is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process and critical thinking.

• Collaborate with care team and document care in EPIC.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
