Job summary

Somerset Care Group is recruiting a Registered Nurse for Wessex House in Somerton to deliver high-quality nursing care in a home setting. We provide full induction and ongoing training, with a focus on person-centred care and teamwork within the multi-disciplinary group.

You will assess, plan, implement and review care plans, administer medicines, and mentor newer staff while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards. A positive, caring approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
• Up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice.
• Understanding of NMC Code of Practice.
• Ability to care for older people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care within the home and document assessments.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care with the home staff team.
• Provide person-centred care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Administer medicines in line with policy and safety standards.
• Support personal care and maintain service user confidentiality.
• Supervise and mentor less experienced staff and students.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and infection prevention measures.
