As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will be responsible for assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programmes to ensure high-quality patient care. The post holder is expected to perform all relevant care activities independently and may supervise registered and/or unregistered staff, including student nurses.
Responsibilities may vary depending on the ward/department and patient dependency levels.
Additional responsibilities after 2 years of post-registration experience:
The post holder will coordinate and supervise staff within the ward or department to promote best practices. In the absence of senior staff, the post holder will provide cover to ensure effective ward/department operation.
