We are seeking an experienced individual to join our WGH service as part of the Pre-Operative Assessment team for a temporary secondment role. You will be part of a proactive team ensuring optimal theatre capacity utilization and positive patient experiences for elective surgery.
You should be organized, have excellent time management, communication skills, and a passion for elective surgery. A good understanding of anaesthetic and surgical risks, as well as co-morbidities, is essential.
Conduct pre-operative holistic assessments, manage complex co-morbidities, promote health, optimize patient condition, perform physical examinations, and work autonomously.
Collaborate with surgical clinicians, anaesthetists, GP's, and other specialists to ensure patients are fit and ready for surgery at appropriate times and locations.
Our hospitals include Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital, along with community healthcare facilities across Morecambe Bay.
