Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Registered Nurse to apply the Nursing Process for patients with mental disorders, substance misuse, learning disability or co-morbidity, under supervision by the team leader or practitioner. The post holder may supervise students and junior staff.

In this key role, you will contribute to clinical governance, participate in team meetings, and ensure high standards of care within the defined clinical area.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate and supervise junior staff, students and clinical support workers.
• Ensure governance and standards are followed under management guidance.
• Be compliant with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and contribute to clinical governance.
