Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a registered nurse to join the Tiptree Ward on a fixed-term maternity cover for 12 months. The ward cares for patients under 75 on a 26-bed unit.

The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary of £32,073 per annum, pro-rata for part time, and a closing date of 12/11/2026 at 23:59. Ideal candidates will have registered nurse status with the NMC, a background in acute medical care, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse / NMC registered.
• Experience in an acute care setting.
• Understanding of fundamentals of nursing care.
• Understanding of acute healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of individualized care to patients while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Assess care needs, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
• Support the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the clinical area.
• Follow NMC Code of Professional Conduct and Trust policies.
• Deliver patient care that meets physical, social and psychological needs in partnership with patients and families.
• Contribute to maintaining and developing high standards of patient care and ensure privacy, dignity and respect.
