Qualifications

  • BSN from an accredited School of Nursing, preferred. Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered and must obtain BSN within 36 months of hire
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Required. Florida State or Compact License required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse, preferred 2 years of experience
  • Previous PICU experience preferred
  • BLS certification provided by AHA

As a 259-bed teaching hospital with more than half of its beds dedicated to intensive care services, we serve as the regional pediatric referral center for Florida’s west coast, providing advanced critical care, complex surgical procedures, and innovative therapies. Through strong community partnerships, we also support neonatology and pediatric services across the region.

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is a 28-bed unit dedicated to providing specialized care for critically ill and injured infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Patients admitted to the PICU present with a broad range of complex medical and surgical diagnoses and may be referred from surrounding institutions for advanced critical care services.
A multidisciplinary team of highly skilled professionals delivers comprehensive, family-centered care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. The PICU is staffed 24 hours a day by board-certified and board-eligible pediatric intensive care specialists, along with specially trained nurses and support staff experienced in caring for critically ill children.
The team is committed not only to providing the highest level of medical care, but also to supporting the emotional and educational needs of patients and their families throughout the hospitalization experience.

Qualifications

Salary Range:

Minimum 36.62/hour - Maximum 54.38/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
