Working in HMP Liverpool presents unique challenges and opportunities for healthcare professionals due to the poor health of the patients who find themselves in custody.
We are recruiting to positions for both Registered Nurses and also those with a keen interest in Substance Misuse.

You will work collaboratively with Merseycare Mental Health Team, Change Grow Live (recovery staff), and HMPPS staff to ensure the best possible care is provided to the patients.
As a Registered Nurse, your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities such as:
Supporting multi-disciplinary team's such as:
o Diabetic retinopathy screening
o AAA screening
o Ultrasounds and X-Rays
Medication rounds and dispensing
Emergency response situations
Patient assessments
Nurse-led clinics, such as:
o NHS Health Checks
o Immunisations and Vaccinations
o NHS Bowel Screening
o Wound and Tissue Viability assessments.
Assessing new patients who have just arrived at the establishment for the first time.
Complete clinical assessments
Triaging the acutely unwell patients
