East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse for Elderly Care on Ward 9B in Stevenage. You will join a team focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our patients and their families.

The role emphasizes evaluating patient needs from admission to discharge, contributing to staff development, and maintaining clinical standards within a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Mansioni

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients from admission (or before) to discharge, with involvement of patients and their relatives/carers.
• Participate in the ongoing training, supervision and support of registered and non-registered nursing staff, including Trainee Assistant Practitioners, Clinical Support Workers and student nurses.
• Evaluate own knowledge and practice and take learning opportunities from department training, Trust training, conferences, shadowing and literature.
• Communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, nursing colleagues, the Multidisciplinary Team and all other relevant personnel.
• Recognise and respond to urgent and emergency situations using escalation strategies such as SBAR and pathways.
