Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting a Registered Nurse for Ward 10B, a 30-bed unit focused on diabetes and endocrine care. You will work with consultants, specialists and nurses to support patients throughout diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management.

You will deliver high‑quality nursing care, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and provide education to patients and families about self‑management.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current nursing registration.
• Experience in diabetes or endocrine care is preferred.
• Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

We are currently looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team and provide exceptional care to our patients.

You will be a member of the nursing team to play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care for patients with diabetes and endocrine conditions. You will work closely with a team of consultants, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to support patients through their journey, from diagnosis to treatment and ongoing management.

Delivering direct patient care to individuals with a wide range of diabetes and endocrine disorders.

Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.

Monitoring and assessing patient conditions, responding to any changes promptly.

Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding self-management of chronic conditions.

Participating in the development and implementation of care plans.

Ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Adhering to hospital policies and protocols while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.

Mentoring and supporting junior nursing staff and student nurses.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
