Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust invites applications for a Locum Consultant in Elderly Care, based predominantly at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage. The post is a fixed-term appointment pending substantive recruitment and comprises 10 programmed activities (PAs) with an on-call commitment of 1.25 PA; part-time and job-share applicants are welcome.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with Licence to Practice.
• RCP or equivalent.
• Evidence of being up to date and fit to practice safely, and aware of own training needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of high-quality patient centered care.
• Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planning.
• Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service.
• Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity.
• Active participation in continuing medical education.
