Job summary

Bridge Oak Care Homes in Pontefract invites a Registered Nurse to join our bank pool at Priory Gardens. The role supports residents with high standards of care, following care plans and working with the team to maintain a homely atmosphere.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate nurse with current NMC registration and the ability to work some evenings and weekends. You’ll assess residents, administer medications, update care plans, and liaise with families and health professionals to

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration and Pin
• Experience in elderly care desirable
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends
• Ability to work as part of a caring, multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of care in line with care plans and nursing handovers
• Support junior staff to contribute to efficient home operation
• Report ill health and arrange GP/professional visits as needed
• Maintain and review residents' care plans with residents, relatives and health professionals
• Assess health needs and provide nursing care and supervision
• Liaise with health and social care professionals for holistic care
• Ensure records are accurate and care plans are updated bi-annually or as required
• Administer prescribed medications and perform dressings, catheterisation and tube feeding as needed
