Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care team at Glangwili General Hospital in Carmarthen. The role is part-time, 23 hours per week, with shifts that may include days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

You will develop your Critical Care skills in a supportive environment, delivering evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients and contributing to the unit's ongoing improvement and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Job Overview

An exciting vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is interested in developing their Critical Care skills.

The purpose-built Critical Care Unit in Glangwili General Hospital is looking for a Band 5 Registered Nurse. This post is part time for 23 hours which will include days/nights/ weekend and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

Successful applicants will be fully supported whilst gaining experience in the care of critically ill patients undergoing a variety of critical care interventions.

The successful candidates will ideally demonstrate some knowledge of Critical Care Nursing, but this is not essential and have a willingness to develop their skills further, playing an integral part in integrating critical care across Glangwili.

The applicants should be able to demonstrate the use of evidence-based practice and be proactive in managing change. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with a readiness to innovate and develop nursing within a team approach.
