Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join the Nurse Bank across four major hospitals and in the community setting for Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. Roles span Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, SCBU, ENT, Critical Care, Emergency Nursing and more, with opportunities in Mental Health and Learning Disabilities wards.

Welsh language ability is desirable; English or Welsh speakers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Current NMC Registration.
• Degree in Nursing.
• Evidence of post registration study and training e.g. POVA.
• Evidence of post registration study and training e.g. Child Protection.
• Intermediate life support if required in clinical setting.
• Experience of providing holistic nursing care.
• Clear understanding of clinical governance framework.
• Implement evidence based practice.
• Welsh Speaker (Level 1) (desirable)

Main duties of the job Candidates with experience in Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, SCBU, ENT, Critical Care, Emergency Nursing, Theatres, School Nursing, Health Visiting and Community Nursing are invited to apply as there are opportunities to work in all these areas. Recent acute experience and up to date skills is desirable.We also have opportunities for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Wards and are looking for flexible, motivated and enthusiastic Qualified 1st level Registered Mental Health & Learning Disabilities nurses to work in Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. You will be employed in the inpatient wards of Acute / Older Adult / Learning Disabilities mental health care.Successful candidates should have a flexible approach to work, have good communication skills, be a team worker and have the ability to work on his/her initiative.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
