Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, dedicated Registered Nurse on a Bank basis for Winchester Heights Care Home in Hampshire. You will act as person in charge when needed, support the Manager, and ensure high standards of care for residents.

Competenze

• Hold a First Level nursing qualification and current NMC registration.
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of care planning and its application.

Mansioni

• Distribute medication, perform dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and inform GP/families of changes in condition.
• Supervise the care team to ensure duties are completed and residents receive care.
• Provide accurate assessments and care planning to guide daily care.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asa Registered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.


• Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.


• Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.


• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

ABOUT YOU
