Job Title: Band Registered Nurse - Onnen Ward, Wrexham Maelor Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band Registered Nurse to join Onnen Ward at the Rehabilitation Unit, Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

About Onnen Ward: Onnen ward is a new, purpose-built ward supporting patients living with dementia who have completed the acute phase of their hospital journey and require ongoing discharge planning. The ward has a strong multidisciplinary team focus and full support from specialists such as Best Interest assessors based within the department.

Candidate Requirements: The successful applicant should have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver high standards of care in a demanding environment. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main Duties of the Job: We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience in dementia care, keen to develop the service further. This demanding role requires commitment, a positive approach to change, and excellent communication skills, along with high clinical standards and a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.

This role involves supporting dementia patients with complex needs during their hospital stay, demonstrating care and compassion in support and care provision.
