Job summary

Bartholamew Lodge Nursing Home in Wednesbury (WS10) is seeking a caring Registered Nurse to join our team. You will provide resident-centred care, manage medication administration, and contribute to care planning in line with NMC guidelines and our policies.

In this role you will monitor wellbeing, update clinical records, and, when acting as Nurse in Charge, support junior staff with clear handovers and teamwork to deliver high-quality care for up to 30 residents.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with experience in nursing homes.
• Strong clinical skills and medication administration experience.
• Experience with catheter care, wound management and pressure area care.
• Ability to formulate, review and update person-centred care plans in line with NMC guidelines.
• Capable of completing clinical risk assessments and maintaining accurate records.

Job description

We're looking for a caring and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our friendly team at Bartholamew Lodge Nursing Home, Wednesbury (WS10)., will include but are not limited to:

• Care planning: Formulating, reviewing and updating person-centred care plans to reflect residents' needs, in consultation with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals, in line with NMC guidelines and company policies.
• Medication administration: Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company procedures and NMC guidelines.
• Monitoring resident wellbeing: Identify and report any ill health amongst residents and arrange GP or professional visits where required.
• Leadership and supervision: When acting as Nurse in Charge, supervise the care team and ensure clear and concise handovers at the end of each shift.
• Multidisciplinary working: Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.

Experience:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience working in a nursing home environment.

The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience in medication administration, catheter care, wound management, pressure area care, care planning, and completing clinical risk assessments. They will be confident in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining accurate clinical records and supporting residents' overall health and wellbeing.
