BUPA is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Fountains Lodge Care Home in Southborough on a fixed-term 11-month contract. This role involves managing clinical duties, ensuring resident well-being, and guiding care teams. Registered Nurse (Fixed Term Contract)

£19.18 - £21.85 Per Hour Dependant on experience

Contract – 4x 12 Hour Day shifts per week (48 Hours Contract), Fixed Term Contract for 11 months (Maternity Cover)

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for the well-being of residents and ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
• Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
• Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each resident.
• Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties in the home.
• Experience ensuring policies and standards are maintained to a high clinical standard.
• Confidence in offering clinical guidance for care teams and supporting CQC tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills, building trust with residents and their families.
• Effective communication and reporting skills for handover of clinical issues.
• For night shifts: enhanced critical thinking, self‑reliance, and the ability to manage care staff and remain calm in emergencies.
