Job summary

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for residents’ physical, emotional and social well‑being
• Coach and guide the care team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes
• Carry out assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans
• Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN, able to manage the unit and perform clinical duties
• Experience ensuring policies and standards are maintained at a high clinical standard
• Confidence in providing clinical guidance and supporting CQC tasks
• Strong communication and reporting skills for effective handover of clinical issues
• Self‑reliant, calm and able to manage care staff independently, especially if working alone at night
