Job summary

Bupa Aylesham Court Care Home in Kirby Muxloe, Leicester is hiring a Registered Nurse on a fixed-term contract (9 months). The role is a 48-hour week across 4x12 hour day and night shifts, with an hourly rate up to £21.12 depending on experience. Paid breaks and 24/7 support services are included as part of the benefits.

You will manage the unit with clinical duties, oversee care plans, administer medications, and guide the team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care for residents.

Qualifications

• As a Registered Nurse, with a valid NMC pin, you’ll be responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties in the home.
• Overseeing care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating individualised care plans, and providing clinical guidance to the care team.
• Delivering best practice continually and ensuring policies and standards are followed.

Up to £21.12 per hour, depending on experience.
Contract Available - 4x 12 Hour Days Per Week (48 Hours Contract)

8am-8pm & 8pm - 8am

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

As a Registered Nurse, with a valid NMC pin, you’ll be responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties in the home. This includes oversight of care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating individual care plans, and providing clinical guidance to the care team and delivering best practice continually.

You have previous experience ensuring policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard.

You are confident offering clinical guidance for care teams, being crucial in helping with all CQC tasks.

As a highly trusted member of the team you enjoy building connections with residents and their family, giving them the kindness and support and care they deserve.

Effective communication and reporting skills are essential in order to effectively handover clinical issues to other team members and health care professionals.

If working at night this will require enhanced skills to ensure patient safety as primarily you will be working alone with limited support from other healthcare professionals you will need to have strong critical thinking skills, need to be confident and self-reliant with the ability to manage care staff and remain calm in an emergency situation
