Job summary

Leonard Cheshire’s Bradbury House in North East England is seeking compassionate nurses on an hourly rate of £21.00. You’ll deliver person-centred care to residents with complex disabilities and work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Day and night shifts are available with occasional hours to suit service needs. You’ll receive induction, ongoing development, and a generous benefits package, including pension, DBS, health plans, and 33 days holiday.

Our residents may have conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) resulting from accidents or strokes, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome, and more. The home boasts an array of amenities and services, including access to the local community, a sensory garden and room, beauty therapy options, pet therapy, and a rich variety of engaging activities. Bradbury House is only care home in the area for young people with complex physical disabilities and maintaining a person-centred approach. Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins.

What you’ll do

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate personalised care plans
• Lead, supervise and support a team of care staff
• Administer and manage medicines safely
• Provide nursing support in line with NMC guidelines and best practice
• Monitor health and wellbeing, responding quickly to any changes
• Support daily living tasks, promoting independence, dignity and choice
• Liaise with families, health professionals and other agencies
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory requirements

Whether you’re newly qualified or have years of experience, you’ll receive full induction, training, and ongoing professional development.
