Job summary

Agincare is recruiting a Registered Nurse for a care home in Gloucestershire. The role involves assisting residents with personal care, coordinating with families and medical staff, and ensuring safe medication administration. A supportive, patient-centered environment is provided.

The ideal candidate holds an in-date NMC pin, evidence of CPD, and experience in a care home setting is preferred. The position includes weekend work and a strong focus on resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK for at least 12 months
• Valid, in-date NMC pin without restrictions to practice
• Evidence of recent clinical CPD
• Experience working in a care home setting is preferable

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care according to individual care plans
• Liaising with management, families and professionals to ensure care needs are met and updated
• Administering and recording medications safely according to policy
• Monitoring resident nutrition and hydration and updating dietary plans as needed
• Watching for risks around pressure injuries and toilet habits
• Promoting and participating in resident activities

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• A valid, in date NMC pin without restrictions to practice
• Evidence of recent clinical CPD
• Experience working in a care home setting is preferable

This position is working 48 hours per week, to include alternate weekends.

A day in the life of a Registered Nurse

• Assisting residents with personal care in accordance with their individual care plans
• Liaising with care home management, family members, social workers, medical professionals and the resident themselves in ensuring the care provision meets their individual requirements and making recommendations based on changes in care need.
• Administering and recording medication safely in line with company policy
• Monitoring resident nutrition and hydration and taking steps to update nutrition plans with any revised dietary requirements.
• Monitoring residents for risks around pressure wounds and any abnormalities regarding toilet output.
• Participating in, and promoting resident activities.
