Job summary

Henderson House Care Home in Dalgety Bay, Fife, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to join our clinically led team and deliver high-quality, person-centred care across day and night shifts.

You will assess needs, develop care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health while leading shifts and supporting the care team in a well-organised, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN (RGN or RMN).
• Clinical judgement and decision making are essential.
• Experience in a care home environment is beneficial but not required.

Job description

Henderson House Care Home is a well established care home in the coastal town of Dalgety Bay in Fife, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 60 residents. With a strong, experienced team and a welcoming, homely atmosphere, this is a service where staff can feel supported, valued and confident in delivering high quality care within a stable and well run environment.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract

• £21.32 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Mixed Shift Pattern covering Dayshift & Nightshift
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
