Job summary

Kingfisher House Care Home is a purpose-built 77-bed facility in Perth, offering Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to lead shifts, assess residents, administer medications, and coordinate high-quality, person-centred care across your team.

You will play a central role in maintaining standards, supporting families and healthcare professionals, and contributing to a well-organised, professional environment where dignity and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Active NMC PIN is required.
• Experience in leading shifts and guiding a care team.

Kingfisher House Care Home is a purpose built 77 bed care home located in Perth, set in a stunning riverside location on the banks of the River Tay. Providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care, the home offers a modern and well supported environment where team members can develop their skills, work as part of a strong team and make a meaningful difference every day.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract

• £22.36 to £23.40 per hour
• Full time, part time and bank contracts available
• Dayshift and Nightshift available
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
