Job summary

Skycare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our care homes in Pontefract or Doncaster (West Yorkshire). The role is full-time, with 36–48 hours per week, including night shifts from 8pm to 8am.

You must have UK NMC PIN and the right to work in the UK. Responsibilities include assessing care needs, developing and evaluating care plans, administering medications, supervising staff, and ensuring high standards of resident care in line with company policies.

• Willing to undergo further training and development.

Responsibilities

• Assess the care needs of patients and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.

• Attend staff meetings and ensure clear handovers at each shift.

One year UK Registered Nurse experience is mandatory!

• Full-time, 36-48 hours per week
• Night shifts,12-hour shifts, 8pm-8am
• Pay rate is £20 per hour, depending on the experience

About the home:

Both Care Homes have single, ensuite rooms that allow residents to enjoy as much privacy as they'd like at all times.Experienced staff are fully qualified (qualifications include Health & Social Care levels 2-3, Registered Mental Health Nurses and more) to look after residents with dementia, tailoring their care to each individual's need. Our staff are also equipped to deal with a variety of health issues, such as:

Nurse Job Role

To be responsible for the assessment of the care needs of patients and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans under the direction of the Head Nurse, thereby ensuring that a high standard of care is delivered.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for candidates who will be able to ensure that nursing care is delivered in accordance with our policies and procedures.You'll report directly to the Registered

Care Manager and your key responsibilities will include:

• o Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
• o Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects / reactions
• o Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
• o To be able to supervise, develop and teach other care team members
• o Monitoring standards of care delivered to our residents
• o Ensuring all Day staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home
• o Ensuring resident needs are being met by interacting with them, resolving any problems where appropriate
• o Reporting any ill-health amongst residents and making requests for GP/Professional visits when needed
• o Preparing, updating and evaluating Resident Care Plans
• o General Nursing work and personal care as appropriate
• o Attend relevant staff meetings
• o Advising the Registered Care Manager of any incidents/accidents
• o Ensuring there is a clear and concise handover at every shift
