Job responsibilities

  • We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current UK PIN number and a passion for delivering outstanding care.
  • You will be working 42 hours a week at Cygnet Nield House, across a mixed shift pattern.
  • Cygnet Nield House is a 29-bed mental health hospital for women, split into two wards offering specialist services:
    Clarion Ward: a 14-bed complex personality disorder service for women with a dual diagnosis of personality disorder and co-morbid disordered eating.
    Compton Ward: a 15-bed acute service for women experiencing an acute episode of mental illness requiring emergency admission.

Your day-to-day

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments & observations
  • Work closely with management to develop, audit, and improve the service
  • Attend training and engage in CPD to enhance your knowledge and promote nursing standards
  • Ensure care plans are complete and maintained collaboratively with residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals, following NMC guidelines
  • Administer medicines in accordance with healthcare procedures and regulations

You

An experienced RMN with a current PIN number, you'll have:

Essential:

  • The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity
  • A good understanding of current nursing practices
  • A commitment to patient recovery, monitoring, managing, and reducing risks
  • Compassion, resilience, and dedication to empowering and supporting service user independence

Desirable:

  • The ability to deputise as a clinical lead
  • An interest in leadership, research, and assessment
