Job description

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Registered Mental Health Nurse to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Southgate, North London area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers.


The hospital is a private hospital specialising in the treatment of mental health problems. The hospital has a highly experienced team of mental health professionals and support staff, which include consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and therapists.


To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.


Key Duties:
  1. Providing a high standard of care to people with learning disability and personality disorder.
  2. Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement.
  3. Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice.
  4. Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress.
  5. Accepting personal and shared responsibility for the maintenance of quality nursing care, for all patients as part of a multidisciplinary team approach within a forensic setting.
  6. Working as a Primary Nurse/Care Coordinator for an identified group of patients whilst consistently working within the clinical governance framework.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  1. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
  2. Patient-centric & commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  3. Fine-tuned decision-making skills.
  4. Excellent organisational capability.
  5. Effective communication skills.
  6. Flexibility and a strong 'can do' attitude.

The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of GBP 37,000 per annum. We currently have permanent vacancies for both days and night shifts available. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:
