Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) for a neurological care home in Cardiff, Wales. The role offers flexible, zero-hours shifts with competitive hourly pay (£26–£58 PAYE) and a supportive environment.

The RMN will assess, treat and rehabilitate residents with neurological conditions, delivering person-centred care while complying with CQC and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC pin as RMN, RGN or RNLD.
• Experience in mental health and neurological nursing or similar settings.
• Restraint training certification is advantageous.
• Excellent communication with residents, families and colleagues.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Administering medication and reviewing care plans for residents with neurological/mental health needs.
• Implement tailored care and treatment plans in line with standards.
• Liaising with multidisciplinary teams and families for person-centred care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate documentation to meet regulatory standards (CQC, safeguarding).

Key Responsibilities

• Administering medication and reviewing care plans for residents requiring neurological and mental health support
• Implementing tailored care and treatment plans that meet sector standards for neurological care and mental health needs
• Liaising with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure comprehensive and person-centred care
• Monitoring and evaluating patient progress, adjusting care plans in accordance with best practices and sector guidelines
• Maintaining accurate documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards including CQC, safeguarding, and sector-specific protocols

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid NMC pin as an RMN, RGN, or RNLD
• Experience in mental health, neurological, or general nursing, ideally within low-security or neurological settings
• Restraint training certification is advantageous and highly valued
