Registered Manager - Residential Family Assessment Centre


Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary: 50,000- 60,000.00
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced and dynamic Registered Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding vulnerable families?
Do you possess the leadership skills to guide a dedicated team and ensure the highest standards of care and assessment?
We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Manager to lead our clients Residential Family Assessment Centre in Bradford.
This is a pivotal role where you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our centre, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the National Minimum Standards for Residential Family Centres. You'll provide strong, visible leadership, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement, all while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for families undergoing crucial residential assessments.



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leadership and Management: Taking overall responsibility for operational management and strategic direction, providing strong leadership to staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Family Assessment & Safeguarding: Overseeing comprehensive, evidence-based family assessments and leading all safeguarding practices within the centre.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensuring the centre operates in line with the Statement of Purpose, preparing for Ofsted inspections, and maintaining meticulous records.
  • Staff Management: Recruiting, inducting, supervising, and appraising staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and a positive working culture.
  • Partnership Working: Building effective relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, courts, and health services, and representing the centre where required.


What We're Looking For:


Essential Requirements:

  • You must be a Registered Social Worker.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a willingness to complete it.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with vulnerable families or children in a residential or assessment setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, child protection procedures, and risk management.
  • Understanding of the Family Court process and the role of residential assessments.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted's regulatory framework and the National Minimum Standards for Residential Family Centres.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • A clear enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK.


Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working within a Family Assessment Centre.
  • Familiarity with assessment tools such as the Parent Asses, PAMS, or other parenting capacity models.
  • Prior experience of managing an Ofsted-regulated setting.
