Job summary

Health Recruit Network is recruiting a Home Manager to lead a 29-bed residential care home in Portsmouth, delivering person-centred care and ensuring CQC compliance.

This hands-on leadership role includes managing staff, maintaining high standards, and developing private occupancy. Senior leadership are on-site to support the incoming manager.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Home Manager within a residential care setting — minimum one year.
• Background in dementia and/or challenging behaviour care.
• Previous CQC inspection experience.
• Hands-on, floor-based leadership approach.
• Flexible and able to provide weekend presence when required.

Responsibilities

• Location: Portsmouth
• Salary: £43,000 – £48,000 per annum
• Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm) with flexibility
• Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting a Home Manager to lead an established 29-bed residential care home in Portsmouth, supporting adults with dementia and challenging behaviour. This is a hands-on leadership role with a full staffing structure in place including deputies, seniors, carers, kitchen, and maintenance teams. Senior leadership are present and accessible on a daily basis, offering strong support to the incoming manager.

The Role

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Home Manager within a residential care setting — minimum one year essential
• Background in dementia and/or challenging behaviour care

• Working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
• Hands-on, floor-based leadership approach
• Flexible and able to provide weekend presence when required
• Driven, capable, and committed to developing the service
