Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of management experience within a children's residential setting.
• Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, mental health conditions or complex needs.
• Led at least one Ofsted-inspected home as Registered Manager with a Good or Outstanding rating.
• Background in managing an Ofsted-regulated children\'s home.
• A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop two staff teams, promoting therapeutic care practices.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments, placement reviews and transitions.
• Build relationships with families and health, education and social care professionals.
• Manage recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance.
• Promote positive behaviour support and review incidents.
• Oversee staffing, budgets, audits and on-call rota.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safeguarding standards, including Ofsted requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Dual Registered Manager to join a children's residential care provider, offering safe, nurturing and supportive homes for young people

As a Dual Registered Manager, you will lead 2 specialist children's homes, overseeing care standards, safeguarding, staff development and operational performance.

This full-time role based in Oxfordshire offers salary of £85,000 and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading and developing two staff teams, promoting consistent, therapeutic care practices.
• Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, placement reviews and transitions.
• Building effective relationships with families and relevant health, education and social care professionals.
• Managing staff recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance.
• Promoting positive behaviour support, reviewing incidents and minimising restrictive interventions.
• Overseeing staffing, budgets, service quality, audits and participation in the senior on-call rota.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance, safeguarding standards and Ofsted requirements are met.
• Perform other duties as required.

What we are looking for:

• Approx 2 years' management experience within a children's residential setting.
• Substantial experience supporting children with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs.
• Must have led at least one Ofsted-inspected home as Registered Manager, achieving a Good or Outstanding rating.
• Background in managing an Ofsted-regulated children's home.
• A relevant Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
• Experience in staff supervision, performance management and service improvement.
• Ability to lead and support teams through challenging situations whilst maintaining safe and compassionate care.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check.
