Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager for a brand-new not-for-profit Children’s Services Residential Home in York. You will lead, develop and support teams to ensure outstanding care while meeting regulatory standards.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, foster a safe and inclusive environment for children with learning disabilities and complex needs, and drive best practice from the outset to deliver excellent outcomes.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in children's residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in children's services.
• Experience planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers across the home.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the children's residential home located in York.
• Ensure high-quality care delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Embed best practice and drive outstanding outcomes for the children and young people.
