Job summary

Care First UK is partnering with a children's services provider to recruit a Registered Manager for a West Sussex residential home. You will oversee operations, safeguarding, and compliance while leading a dedicated care team to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

The role requires proven leadership in children's services, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage budgets and multidisciplinary partnerships.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Children's Residential Home or similar setting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Children's Residential Home.
• Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
• Recruit, supervise, develop, and support residential care staff.
• Drive service quality, continuous improvement, and best practice.
• Champion safeguarding and promote positive outcomes for young people.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Oversee care planning, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
• Build relationships with Local Authorities, Social Workers, families, and external agencies.
• Prepare for and support Ofsted inspections.
• Maintain all policies, procedures, and records to the highest standard.
